Network Aims
 
The environment and gerontology network is organised by members of the International Association for People-Environment Studies (IAPS) who are active in the area of environmental gerontology.
 
The network currently has 192 members.
 
Network Aims:
 

- To improve understanding of interrelationships between elderly people and their built and natural surroundings, and to help create environments responsive to their needs;

 

- Facilitate communication among those concerned with the relationships between elderly people and their physical environment;

 

- Stimulate research and innovation for improving human well-being and the physical environment; and

 

- Promote the integration of research, design, education, policy and practice.
